The traditional way of looking up profiles, is to type in the Patient Surname and Initials and then scrolling through the list, selecting a profile then verifying with the patient if it is the correct profile. There are various ways of LOOKING UP Patient Profiles;
• LOOKUP BY SCANNING OR SWIPING A LOYALTY CARD•LOOKUP BY PROFILE NUMBER•LOOKUP BY MEMBER/MEDICAL NUMBER
• LOOKUP BY MEDICAL CODE/NAME
• LOOKUP BY I.D number OR D.O.B (Date of Birth)
Step 1: Scanning or Swiping a LOYALTY CARD – If a patient is a Loyalty member, the Patient Profile can be linked to member’s loyalty card. By scanning or swiping the card the system will automatically call up the profile.
Step 2: LOOKUP by PROFILE NUMBER – If the Patient has his/her Profile number, type the Profile number in the Surname field. The Profile will then be displayed on the screen.
Step 3: LOOKUP by MEDICAL AID NUMBER – by typing “/member or medical number” it will call up that specific patient profile only.
Step 4: LOOKUP by MEDICAL AID CODE / NAME – By typing in the SURNAME then PRESS TAB then type in the MEDICAL AID NAME or CODE and PRESS ENTER. The system will then list all Profiles with the same Surname and Medical Aid name and the correct profile can be selected from the list.
Step 5: LOOKUP by I.D number or D.O.B (Date of Birth) – By typing “–id number or Date of Birth” PRESS ENTER – all patients with similar dates of births will be listed or just the one patient with that specific i.d. number will be listed.
